About

I am an artist with a comprehensive understanding of product development from concept to customer. With a background in illustration, sketching and painting, I have the ability to hand render original ideas for my art team, as well as build graphics and prints in digital form for apparel product creation. I am also experienced in art separation for the screen printing process as well as typography and layout.

For the last 10+ years I’ve been with JCPenney, the majority of that time as a Sr. Textile Artist for the children’s private label brands. This includes researching trends, building seasonal direction and developing artwork for each season. I played a key role in the development of the newest brand in the children’s department, Thereabouts. This includes strategic planning and creation of artwork for sportswear, sleepwear, swimwear and outerwear, including graphics, prints and plaids.

Prior to being at JCPenney, I was a graphic artist for Kohl’s private label brands, with a focus on women’s apparel, assisting other departments when needed.

Some major brands I’ve worked on include; Gibson Guitars, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, Timberland, NCAA College Football, Tony Hawk, PBR, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s. Other retailers include Bonton stores, Kmart, Sears, Mervyn’s and Shopko.

Specialties: Photoshop, Illustrator, Kaledo Weave/Print/Knit, Graphic Color Separation.
